NaPoWriMo Day #14
Today's prompt: "Write a poem of at least ten lines in which each line begins with the same word (e.g., “Because,” “Forget,” “Not,” “If”)."
To Dream
Dream of passion’s bloody rose and thorn,
Dream of seas that churn before your might,
Dream of velvet, plush against your cheek,
Dream of fountains pouring gold and light,
Dream of castles spearing godlike clouds,
Dream of crushing foes beneath your gaze,
Dream of love that wakes an ancient heart,
Dream of snuffing out the sun’s hot blaze,
Dream of the world being yours to shake:
Dream it all, but don’t forget to wake.
