NaPoWriMo Day #21
Today's prompt: "Today, we’d like to challenge you to write a poem that repeats or focuses on a single color."
This is probably one of my favorite poems I've ever written.
Blue World
I wish to live
in the slipping hazy minutes just before the dawn:
when horizon’s lid has barely lifted over sun’s blazing yellow eye,
and the world is a rolling wonder of blue shadow:
then, hills and trees are cloaked
in cobalt velvet,
and the streets are misty blue with lingering dreams
and anything can be imagined
in those slipping seconds before the unforgiving light.
